Wildberry is a bad idea in that location. The room prices ensure that it will attract mostly upscale urbanites who will use the Thruway to access it. Traffic will be a nightmare. Also, the owner wants a $6.5 million tax break for a project that will bring mostly low-paying 400 "full-time equivalent jobs" (translation: part time, no benefits) to the area and snarl traffic. He also plans to run shuttle buses to Minnewaska, downtown New Paltz, and Huguenot Street. This will further destroy the character of the town and create all kinds of problems.
