Great article tho it doesn't mention my favorite Beacon restaurant Homespun Foods. Have enjoyed experiencing the Hudson River Valley blossom for more than 30 yrs. Had not gotten as far as Beacon until a co worker told me about Dia but it was 4 trips before we got there because we enjoyed the Main Street so much. We visit a lot of gardens and museums and can say Dia was worth the trip, loved the big space of the former box factory. Hudson Beach Glass has had some great exhibits (and xmas gifts). Health food store Beacon Natural Market is always a stop.
Can only hope future growth is sensitive to why it's attractive and appreciates Beacon's artists, musicians, history and architecture. - - traveling from Bergen County, NJ.
