Showcasing Act I and Act II of a newly created opera, “A Thousand Splendid Suns”. The work is based on the novel by author Khaled Hosseini. Composer Sheila Silver and Librettist Stephen Kitsakos have been working for several years to bring this work to the operatic stage. Act I was presented (and filmed) last year.
