Learn about a local Hudson Valley landmark, Bannerman’s Island. For generations, boaters and train passengers have been mystified by the sight of Bannerman Castle, looming on a small island in the Hudson River. Visiting authors, Wes and Barbara Gottlock will discuss their book Bannerman Castle, which unveils the history of this site as an arsenal built to resemble Scottish castles. Today, it is a major tourist attraction in the Mid-Hudson Valley Region, offering not only history tours, but various forms of live entertainment.
