A Medieval Love Story: "Willem and the Werewolf"

When: Fri., Oct. 18, 7-8 p.m. 2019
Written circa 1200 AD by an unknown poet in Old French and later translated into Middle English, this is a strange, haunting medieval romance that is every bit as compelling as Sir Gawain and the Green Knight or Song of Roland. Working from a modern prose translation, Tad Richards has retranslated it into verse that fully captures the magic of the original. Part of the ShoutOut Saugerties Festival. With: Katharine Burger, Twinkle Burke, Mary Gallagher, Mikhail Horowitz, Brian Macready, Molly Parker Myers, Benny Rendell, Jessica Ritacco, Jon Richards, and Joe White. Must register to attend.
