A Story of Fascism with Val Coleman

When: Sat., Sept. 23, 4 p.m. 2017
In this talk, Val Coleman will look closely at the 20th Century fascism in Germany and Italy and guided by Hannah Arendt's brilliant analysis of totalitarianism to try to understand why decent people, over the ages, especially in the 20th Century manifested anti-Semitism, racism etc. He will look carefully at contemporary democracy and see if the old symptoms of fascism - things like anti-intellectualism and narcissism are abroad in the land, once again.
