A Thousand Splendid Suns: Making a Book into an Opera

“A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini has sold more than 30 million copies world-wide. Now, the powerful story is being adapted to opera. Spencertown resident Sheila Silver, composer, and Stephen Kitsakos, librettist, will be discussing their collaboration in bringing this story to the stage.
