Abraham Hasbrouck's Diary

A.J. Schenkman has been researching the family of Joseph Hasbrouck and Elsie Schoonmaker for some twenty years. During that time he has written two books and numerous articles on two of their more famous sons: Colonel Jonathan Hasbrouck and Colonel Abraham Hasbrouck. Schenkman will discuss not only the diary, but his personal experiences working with primary documents and the difficulties in recreating Col. Jonathan Hasbrouck's life. A reception will follow the lecture.
