This class is appropriate for new or recertifying students that have experience in CPR. The textbook is required (February 2016 AHA BLS) and AHA allows students to use it when taking the written exam. This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals with the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Course completion results in a certification card from the AHA valid for two years.
