An Activist Lawyer’s Journey in the Movement Against Gender Violence

Dorchen A. Leidholdt, Esq., Director of the Center for Battered Women’s Legal Services at Sanctuary for Families in New York City and Co-Executive Director of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW), will speak on the history of and working in the feminist movement against violence against women, including counseling and advocating for victims of rape, sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, prostitution and trafficking, the threat of honor killing, and the mail-order bride trade, and organizing against the media’s promotion of violence against women.
