“lightshifts,” is a series of nonreferential light-filled paintings “...composed of straight, white, zig zag, and curvilinear layers of transparencies that interact with the ground color. The layering creates a strong presence of light with monochromatic variations that suggest an active and atmospheric environment." Phosphorescent pigments are mixed with her acrylics giving us the opportunity to see these works on canvas transform. A painting can be viewed under normal light, with UV-A light, presenting us with an alternate and enhanced work. Window On Hudson offers storefront window exhibition space for artists of Hudson and the Hudson Valley.
