Combining a bar and a gallery space, as Allie Constant has done with Kingston's ArtBar, is just one of several kinds of synthesis taking place within. It's also a music venue, managed by Constant's sister Laurie Sakhnovskiy (her master's is in trumpet; Constant's studies were in photography and painting.) "Combining elements keeps things intriguing," says Constant. "We have beer yoga, and soon we'll have wine meditation. And board games and fondue work really well. Not many places serve fondue, but oh boy, it's soooo good."
