Art Reception

Katie Grove is a local artist whose work embodies a deep connection to nature. She studied fiber arts and textiles in both a university setting and individually before moving to the Hudson Valley to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from SUNY New Paltz. Currently she resides in New Paltz, exhibits artwork regionally, and teaches workshops on creating natural dyes with locally found plants. Her work combines textile techniques; quilting, natural dyes, and surface design, with printmaking and watercolors. No matter which medium she explores, her work reflects a love and appreciation of the natural world.
