Backyard Bats

Amanda Vescovi will deliver a presentation on urban bat ecology, discussing species status and population decline, white-nose syndrome, survey methods, and rabies information. Her background in environmental science and music recording technology has led her to survey bats at the Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island, in WV and NC as an environmental consultant, and in the Hudson Valley with the DEC. Amanda is an active member of The Wildlife Society and the Northeast Bat Working Group.
