Bardavon and Hudson Valley Philharmonic to present 50th Annual String Competition

On March 12, 2023, talented young musicians will come to Poughkeepsie to compete in the 50th Annual Hudson Valley Philharmonic String Competition. The event takes place in Skinner Hall on the campus of Vassar College. Competitors play the violin, viola or cello. They will perform pieces by Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Brahms. The three finalists will perform their concertos on Sunday afternoon, March 12, at 3 pm. Admission is open to the public and it is free!
