Botanical Intaglio: Drawing, Mark-Making & Incising from the Ground Up with Roxanne Faber Savage

Through July 21. This workshop celebrates the diversity and beauty of nature’s detritus through the exploration of drawing and mixed media processes. Participants will draw every day and work from observation and intuition, revealing realism and abstraction in nature’s forms. Themes and concepts of storytelling, natural remedies, and plant symbols will manifest and simmer as the works progress. Participants will generate artworks inspired by the overgrowth, i.e., “weeds,” flowers, sticks, stems, and roots from WSW’s ArtFarm plantings and nearby plant life.
