Tompkins Corners presents "The Bride of Frankenstein," the 1935 horror classic from Universal Pictures. The new era of sound horror films began in 1931, with Universal’s release of "Dracula" with Bela Lugosi, and "Frankenstein" with Boris Karloff, whose brilliant young director, James Whale, was hired again four years later to direct the sequel, which many believe was better than the original. The evening will open with Laurel and Hardy in "The Live Ghost" (1934). The boys are shanghaied aboard a ghost ship and the fun begins. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume. Halloween treats and popcorn will be available.
