Camille Gainer Jones, a native New Yorker, has established herself with a rich career poised with artistic ability and versatility. She studied with master drummer Michael Carvin and Keith Copeland, among others and has gone on to work with such luminous artist as Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Roberta Flack, Noel Pointer, Steve Coleman, Greg Osby, Chuck Mangione, Marc Cary, Christian McBride, Michael Urbaniak, Capelton, Tanya Stephens, Sugar Minott, Monifa, Heavy D, Joan Jett, Onaje Allen Gumbs, Les Nubians and Cyndi Lauper, Alicia Keys, and M.C. Shan and the Juice Crew All-Stars of which she was the musical Director.
