Camp Lightheart

Camp Lightheart is a place for kids ages 8-14 who have a mother with breast cancer or have lost their mom to the disease. Campers are in a safe, nurturing and fun-loving environment with a professional staff. Camp provides a chance to meet other kids who are living in similar situations. The shared camp experience lessens their feelings of isolation, or of “feeling different.” This helps each child develop strategies for coping. Camp is free and runs from 8/13-8/16/2017. Open to children from the Hudson Valley first and then on a case-by-basis.
