Carve This! The Fundamentals of Carving a Wooden Spoon with Rowland Butler

A four-hour class devoted to teaching you what you need to know to begin, and continue, this enjoyable pastime. Covered in the class are the basics of wood identification; as well as the layout, carving and finishing a hardwood wooden spoon. We'll focus on carving technique, and hopefully, by the end of the class, participants will leave with a spoon of their own making, as well as the wood, skills and tools necessary to start another spoon. Participants should specify their dominant hand at application.
