Casana T House on Route 23 in Hillsdale is where the culture and cuisine of East and West meet. The restaurant/tea house/boutique opened in 2017 and serves up farm-to-table fare, specialty teas and coffees from around the world, and gourmet desserts. Their menu includes all-day breakfast with cold options like Granola Berry Yogurt Parfait and hot dishes like the Pick Me Up scrambled eggs, along with fresh-squeezed juices, and a carefully curated selection of green, white, and black teas.
This summer, the T House expanded their food offerings include Sunday brunch and lunch items, including Japanese Bento Boxes (made with locally sourced produce), dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, and a prosciutto baguette. Yum. They have also been hosting a series of art exhibitions and talks by artists, writers, and filmmakers, as well as selling teaware made by locally based, internationally acclaimed ceramic artist Paul Chaleff.
In celebration of the one year anniversary of this little Columbia County gem, the T House is hosting a light prix-fixe meal on Sunday, August 12, from 4 to 6pm. Tickets are $15 and the meal includes:

If tea doesn’t quite cut it, you can also purchase Chatham Brewing beer, Stone Bridge cider, and Hudson-Chatham Winery wine at the cash bar.
