The Poetry Barn's second annual retreat invites writers of all stripes to Olivebridge, New York's 300-acre Ashokan Center from September 2-5. Beginning on Labor Day, poets, songwriters, prose stylists, and storytellers will take over the 385-acre, 100%-solar-powered campus led by Artist-in-Residence Philippe Petit. Mr. Petit, the world-famous aerialist and an award-winning writer, will give a presentation on creativity at the retreat's opening ceremony and lead a workshop called "The Art of Writing" in which participants will create written works that spin-off artistic masterpieces. Additional workshops include letterpress and bookbinding, songwriting, illustrated journaling, and hiking/writing.
