Crash Lab

Ages 11+. Your mission: build a go-kart. Your passenger: a watermelon. Our challenge: Build a go-kart for a watermelon with enough safety features that the watermelon can survive a crash. We’ll use wood, wheels, plastic and so much more to make cars for our melons and test drive on the library’s driveway. With advice from guest a road safety expert from the Red Hook Highway Dept and a body mechanic, we will rise to that challenge. Registration is required. Through July 12.
