Eric;
I am impressed with how succinctly you portrayed this fundamental internal conflict. I see this repeatedly with my clients.
Two comments were most important - the last paragraph is so relevant: We are so divided against ourselves. By not looking inside we become "victims by choice" of the outside: everything around us.
Also "opinions ... without action to back them up." This is how we become ungrounded -- by not acting. Continual thought, without action, is damaging.
These are the two areas that I work with most in my practice.
I would like permission to copy this for my clients. Thank you again for the clarity.
