Grab Your Fork: Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is Back November 7-20

Nobody holds it against The Valley Table magazine that their twice-yearly Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is actually a fortnight—that just gives us all an extra week to eat at the  130+ restaurants from Westchester County all the way up to the Capitol region that are participating in this culinary adventure.

The prix-fixe-tastic event returns on November 7 and runs through November 20 and runs through November 11, with participating restaurants showcasing their culinary creativity and expertise with specialty three-course menus for lunch and dinner. This year HVRW is allowing restaurants to choose from the price tier that works best for them. The upper echelon offers prix fixe dinner for $44.95 and lunch for $29.95, while the second, more accessible option offers the same for $39.95 and $24.95.

This year, local newcomers include the Southern comfort food at Darlings in Tillson, farm to table magic at the Vintage at the Millbrook Inn, and seasonal, New American cuisine at Oda in Wappingers Falls. Old standbys include Rhinebeck favorites Terrapin and the Tavern at Beekman Arms, the Dutch in Saugerties, the Stewart House in Athens.

This year Sullivan County makes a splash with the addition of several resorts and inns with superb onsite restaurants, including the Debruce in Livingston Manor, Conover Club in Callicoon Center, and Passive House cidery Seminary Hill. Also in the county, Resorts World Catskills' restaurant Lotus serves up gourmet Chinese dishes, specializing in classics like salt and pepper pork loin, Pekking duck, and coconut curry crab. Looking for something more casual? There are plenty of craft beverage destinations on the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week roster this year including Catskill Provisions Distillery, Mill House Brewing, Callicoon Brewing Company, and City Winery in Mongtomery.
A convenient search dashboard on Valley Table's website lets you sort restaurants by county or town, cuisine, lunch or dinner, price point, and other dining options like pet-friendly, family-style, etc.

Reservations are not required for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week dining, but they are recommended. See the complete list of participating restaurants.
