The works in the group exhibition "Elegy" at Beacon's Theo Ganz Studio address humans' relationships with the natural world and the environment. Featured artists include Joseph Ayers, Kurtis Brand, Lisa Breznak, Cathy Cook, John Ebbert, Tatana Kellner, Jaanika Peerna, David Provan, and Jackie Skrzynski. The opening reception is Beacon’s Second Saturday, March 9, from 6 to 8pm. Readings and songs of remembrance and eulogy will take place on the closing day of the show, April 7. Screenings of Cathy Cook’s documentary on the poet Lorine Niedecker, Immortal Cupboard, will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 4pm for the run of the exhibition.
