Energy Democracy Town Hall with Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha

Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha will be hosting seven Energy Democracy town halls across the district, kicking things off in Rhinebeck. on Tuesday, Sept. 19th at 6:30 PM. Central Hudson currently is in the midst of a rate case, where they hope to negotiate with the Public Service Commission to increase our rates by nearly 20% (!). We’ll discuss what our immediate next steps are to stop the rate hikes, and our strategies for ending reliance on greedy private energy companies which hurt our communities.
