A series of free talks presented by the Alzheimer's Association will help to demystify a disease that strikes fear into the hearts of many. Today, 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another type of dementia. The number of Americans living with Alzheimer's has reached 5.3 million, and that number is expected to grow to 16 million by 2050.

What to do in the face of a runaway epidemic? Get educated about how to prevent, treat, and control the disease. The free Alzheimer's Association talks will deliver the basics about Alzheimer's, as well as the latest science on how to optimize our physical and cognitive health as we age. Diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement all come into play in a preventive lifestyle. The talks will offer hands-on tools and recommendations to incorporate into a plan for healthy aging.
