Film Preview: Here Come the Videofreex

"Here Come the Videofreex" film-in-progress preview with "Videofreex: The Art of Guerrilla Television" exhibition curator Andrew Ingall and Videofreex Nancy Cain and Skip Blumberg and filmmaker Jon Nealon.

The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz is seeking submissions of cinematography to be included in a revolving thematic video exhibit that will accompany the preview.

There will be a new theme for submissions every two weeks and the first is Equality. Videos should "investigate the concept or practice of equality in social, scientific, physical (spatial), political, theological, mathematical, racial, gender, economical, geographic, and/or cultural contexts." Submissions can be humorous and/or serious and may take either a narrative or non-narrative approach. There will be no feedback on submitted works.

The videos should be original, up to 2 minutes long, and uploaded to YouTube. Email the link to The deadline for Equality submissions is 12pm on February 6.

Subsequent calls for submission will be issued on February 6, February 20, March 13, April 3, and April 17.
