Girl Rising Screening

Girl Rising journeys around the glove as viewers get to know nine unforgettable girls living in the developing world: ordinary girls who confront tremendous challenges and overcome nearly impossible odds to pursue their dreams. Prize-winning authors put the girls’ remarkable stories into words, and renowned actors give them voice. There will be a discussion to follow hosted by the human rights youth interns of the United Nations Association of the Mid-Hdson Valley. All proceeds go toward further events promoting awareness of domestic and international UN issues among high school and college students.
