Greater New York Wind Symphony

This is our Play with the Pros Concert where we will feature young musicians from the Washingtonville Central School District. The Greater New York Wind Symphony will then light up the stage with Firefly by Ryan George, followed by the venerable First Suite for Military Band by Gustav Holst. Next we will invite Mr. Robert Sullivan, Principal Trumpet of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Keisuke Ikuma, Principal English Horn of the New York Philharmonic to the stage as we accompany them on Aaron Copland’s beautifully introspective Quiet City before we bring the house down with Frank Ticheli’s rousing Blue Shades.
