Amongst the heated debates that persist in the media, the Hudson Valley's own Healthcare is a Human Right (HCHR) celebrates its stance on the importance of holistic healthcare. HCHR takes the controversial issue head on, asserting its belief in accessible universal healthcare at its upcoming concert benefit. With beer in hand and joy in heart, the local community can express its support for the decade-old foundation on Sunday, September 15, at HCHR's benefit music fundraiser at Kingston's Keegan Ales. With only a $10 suggested donation fee, guests can rock and roll to the tunes of 10 featured bands and artists, including The Greyhounds, Karl Allweier and the Real Men, Joey Eppard, and The Willie Amrod Band featuring Frank Gadler from 1pm to 10pm.

Each musical act has its own feel, from the acoustic sounds of Dorraine Schofield to The Greyhounds' hybrid of rockabilly, country, and rhythm and blues. Kingston soloist Joey Eppard, known for his familial ties with the drummer of Coheed and Cambria (Josh Eppard), will be taking the stage, though not to be confused with his father Jimmy Eppard who will also perform. Former lead vocalist of 1960's rock band NRBQ will accompany The Willie Amrod band.

Founded in 2003, HCHR provides free clinics for the Mid-Hudson Valley community. With locations in Woodstock, Phoenicia, and Kingston, HCHR operates solely through volunteer work and relies upon donations to continue nurturing Hudson Valley citizens. Professional volunteers are appointed through this organization to help with the following methods of expertise: acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, massage, homeopathy, energy psychology, shiatsu massage, flower essences, reflexology, reiki, feldenkrais, chiropractic, nutritional counseling, and aromatherapy. While providing "accessible healing for all" for the past ten years, HCHR remains an integral part of the Hudson Valley community.

Whether you love local handcrafted beer or music (or both), come to Keegan Ales on Sunday, September 15, from 1pm to 10pm and support an organization that has been volunteering to heal the Hudson Valley for the past ten years. For more information regarding HCHR and donation possibilities, visit
