A lively presentation: the 18th century Schuyler women! Thanks to Hamilton: An American Musical, three sisters are now well known. This talk, by Schuyler Mansion historical interpreter Jessie Serfilippi, explores the lives of all five sisters, their mother, and the women they enslaved. The Hendrick Hudson Chapter of the DAR, chartered 1896, is nonpartisan, welcoming eligible women regardless of race, creed, or religion. It focuses on history, education, and patriotism. Members trace their lineage to an American Revolution patriot--soldier, shopkeeper, or seamstress. The chapter owns and maintains the Historic Robert Jenkins House at 113 Warren Street in Hudson, NY.
