Dr. Charles Canham
Cary Institute forest ecologist Charlie Canham leads an interpretive walk through Cary's forest along the Wappinger Creek Trail. Discover how current forest composition is a reflection of past farming practices, and how factors like climate change, pests and pathogens, and air pollution will shape forests of the future. Offered as part of the Hudson River Valley Ramble. Free + open to all. Participants are encouraged to wear long pants and hiking boots, and bring drinking water. Registration is required.
