Hudson Valley Community Dances: Fifth Saturday contradance:

AMBROSE VERDIBELLO, fiddle SUSIE DEANE, piano, guitar JOE DE PAOLO, calling AND drumming! A little like square dance, always with live music which sounds like jazzy Celtic music! A caller leads dancers through a variety of easily learned, fun dances. There are often 2-3 couple dances (waltz, polka, swing, etc.), and refreshments for sale -- juice, cookies. People wear comfortable clothing and shoes. If you've never tried contradancing before, now is the time! Bring the kids. Kids love to dance. When they get tired, they can sleep on the floor at the back of the hall! Bring a sleeping bag!
