Lovefield Vintage
Like Lovefield Vintage, pictured above, many Hudson Valley shops and small businesses have closed their storefronts to keep everyone safe during this DCOVID-19 outbreak and are taking to the internet to keep sales going.

Over the past several years, the Main Street shopping experience has helped the Hudson Valley flourish as both a vacation destination and a region where people want to live and raise families.

But in the last two weeks, COVID-19 has thrown the Hudson Valley’s robust, thriving local economy into a tailspin. Between March 15-18, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued statewide directives closing all gyms, theaters, casinos, indoor shopping malls, bowling alleys, and amusement parks, and limiting bars and restaurants to take-out service. All this has ushered in a period of unprecedented economic pressure for the state's small businesses and independent creatives.

The threat of devastation to the small business community is now galvanizing into a movement to save them. Below is a list of some of the Hudson Valley retailers with e-commerce platforms, as well as a few creative approaches to how they’re adjusting to being supported from a (responsible) distance.

If your small business would like to be added to this list, please leave a comment below.
