Independence Day Celebration

There will be a Patriotic Ceremony with dramatic readings and stirring songs. The Third Ulster Militia will be encamped on the grounds demonstrating 18th century camp life including hearthside cooking and colonial medicine. In addition, Ben Franklin will be here with some science experiments and hands-on activities sponsored by the Palisades Park Conservancy. Storyteller and musician Rich Bala will be performing songs from the Revolutionary War era. Try your hand at an 18th century game or toy. Free hot dogs, lemonade and ice tea will be available.
