Shakir Khan is one of the most promising young products of the legendary Etawah Gharana, and is an 8th generational link in an unbroken chain of musical tradition poured exclusively into the sitar and surbahar. He has performed worldwide, and has become known for his exquisite sense of sur (melody) and laya (rhythm). Woodstock's own Ray Spiegel will accompany on tabla.
