Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism

Classes explain the history, practices, and principles of the Karma Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Arrive at 7pm for a half-hour of sitting meditation before the class begins at 7:30 pm. Based on a book of introductory teachings by Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, KTD's Abbot, the course covers topics including meditation, ethical conduct, compassion, altruism, and mindfulness. The class is led by KTD's lay meditation instructors; it meets in the Amitabha Shrine Room (next to the bookstore). The class is free of charge; no preregistration is required.
