It’s Your Choice: Announcing the Chronogrammies Readers’ Choice Awards | Hudson Valley Events Round-Ups | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine

Calling all opinionated readers: We need your help. Yes, you. We know you have opinions—and strong ones, too. Opinions about which taco joint boasts fire-roasted depth of flavor in its salsa; which cozy bed & breakfast your relatives (the ones you like) should definitely stay at when passing through town; which hiking trails have the fewest people wearing flip flops (and what time you need to hit the trailhead by in order to catch that magnificent magenta sunset).

So we’re turning to you, our readers, to give us the low-down on all your favorites—plus a few things you’ve been keeping to yourself (hello, best dog-friendly dining). Starting January 1, 2020 Chronogram readers can nominate any outstanding Hudson Valley business in over 100 categories to vie for the title of “Readers’ Choice.” And we’re calling this little competition the “Chronogrammies” (of course).

As for why we’re calling on our faithful readers now? As our Editorial Director, Brian K. Mahoney, puts it, “Our readers expect Chronogram to inform them on all that’s great about the region from culture to food to the amazing people who live and work here. Readers love the magazine because they love the Hudson Valley. The Chronogrammies is the voice of readers, offering them a platform to highlight what they love about this place that is so special to all of us.”

So put on your thinking caps, folks. You’ve got just over one month to mull over the people, places, and wonderfully weirdo things that make you love the Hudson Valley, then we’re handing the reins over to you. It’s your time to choose.
