Jay-Z, the Killers, Dead & Company Among Woodstock 50 Headliners

  • Jay-Z
After months of tantalizing buildup, news of promoter Michael Lang’s lineup for his Woodstock 50 Festival, set to take place August 16-18 at Watkins Glen, has been leaked via the web.

According to the piece, headliners include Jay-Z, the Killers, Chance the Rapper, Imagine Dragons, Dead and Company, the Black Keys, Miley Cyrus, Cage the Elephant, the Lumineers, Santana (who’s also playing the rival anniversary event at the original 1969 Woodstock Festival site in Bethel Woods the same weekend), Pussy Riot, Courtney Barnett, Run the Jewels, the Raconteurs, Brandi Carlisle, Dawes, Sturgill Simpson, Portugal. The Man, Gary Clark Jr., Margo Price, Robert Plant, and Greta Van Fleet (one wonders what a backstage meeting between the latter act, AKA L’il Zep, and Plant himself would be like). More acts are expected to be added soon.

To get you in the mood, here’s the Black Keys’ new single, “Lo/Hi,” which just dropped this month:

Woodstock 50 will take place at Watkins Glen, New York, on August 16, 17, and 18. Get tickets and more information.
