March 7, 14, 21, and 28. Ulster County's John Simon is a legendary triple threat. Besides being the producer of such landmark albums as The Band's Music from Big Pink and The Last Waltz soundtrack, Big Brother and the Holding Company's Cheap Thrills, and Simon and Garfunkel's Bookends, Simon is a noted composer and a jazz pianist par excellence. In the latter guise for several years he's been leading his Greater Ellenville Jazz Trio on Thursday nights at Aroma Thyme Bistro. (Helen Avakian sings March 23; Erick Erickson strums March 30.) 7pm.
