A fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC, Khury Petersen-Smith will lecture on empire, borders, militarization, and migration, as well as activism for a less militarized, less violent U.S. both within and beyond U.S. borders. Petersen-Smith researches and writes about U.S. policies regarding Palestine, Yemen, Turkey, and Iran. He is also active in the Movement for Black Lives. Sponsored by Political Science, and the International Studies and Geography Programs.
