www.shoutoutsaugerties.org/all-events
To celebrate the 4th, ShoutOut hosts a celebration of fiery language by our forebears and contemporaries who valued truth and compassion. Short excerpts from speeches by Barbara Jordan, Robert Kennedy, Chief Seattle, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Emma Gonzales, Ann Richards, Fredrick Douglass and others read by community members, followed by open mic for audience members, 2 minutes each. Due to social distancing, seating is limited; reserve on EventBrite via SOS website. Bring a blanket or chair & your favorite beverage, and arrive early to be safely seated. Wear a mask, of course.
