Spend the day on the Rondout Creek learning woodworking at the Hudson River Maritime Museum Wooden Boat School!
Instructor Wayne Ford will lead a 1-day build of a live edge table. Each student will get to pick a flitch of locally harvested and kiln dried hard wood, then use draw knives, sanders and other hand tools to remove any bark and smooth the live edge. The piece will then be cut to its final dimensions and planed and smoothed. Finally, a set of legs will be attached. Learn more at www.hrmm.org/woodworking.
