Looking Closely: Writing Walks for Young People (Ages 8 to 12) with Julia Sforza at Opus 40

Join us for a guided walk for young people who are interested in nature and writing. We will be discussing basic natural identification, appreciating and looking closely at the native flora, learning about invasive plants. There will be a short time to be quiet and write down observations of our natural surroundings, followed by sharing our works aloud to the group. At the end of the walk there will be a small gathering, where we will share thoughts and ideas about how to better appreciate and steward the land over herbal tea and homemade cookies.
