Making the Belt Buckle

Through Dec. 4. Learn to create texture on metal, and cold connections through riveting. Demos include roll-printing, hydraulic press texturing, hammer & tool texturing, and low-tech PCB etching. Make multiple sample pieces from copper, brass, and nickel silver and incorporate these into a belt buckle design. We’ll use the “western style” belt buckle format with a hinged frame affixed to one end and a simple hook clasp to lock the buckle in place on the belt. This style is ideal for providing an ample surface for decoration. This class is appropriate for beginners and advanced students alike.
