The focus will be on King’s vision of a Beloved Community, an egalitarian society where poverty, hunger and homelessness would not be tolerated, and where racism and all forms of discrimination, bigotry and prejudice would be replaced by a universal spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood. This theme will be explored through meditation, readings from the works of Dr. King, and a talk given by Geoffrey Shugen Arnold Roshi, the Abbot of the Monastery.
