Masterpieces of Sacred Song: Croton Chorale

The concert will include the breathtakingly lovely hymn Abendlied by Rheinlander, a little-known 19th-century composer from Lichtenstein, moving settings of Christus Factus Est by Felice Anerio and Michael Haydn, both the overshadowed brothers of more famous composers, and the premiere performances of choral settings of three of John Donne’s Sacred Sonnets by Croton’s own Robert Kirkman. Proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Croton-Cortlandt Food Pantry.
