Michael Larry Simpson: "Puzzles"

The show is comprised of large puzzle paintings inspired by the children’s puzzles of the 60’s and 70’s. “I stumbled upon the Little Red Riding Hood puzzle about a year and a half ago, and was immediately inspired to start collecting and considering them—basically I’m playing with them all over again after all these years,” Simpson said. “I own many puzzles now and have just completed the first wave in, what I expect, will be a prolonged study and series of work. There is much more reflection and fun to be had.”
